Clay Model

As part of the physical side of my Special Effects course I was given an assignment to design a 'monster' character that was suitable to its environment and fitted its description given in the brief. The brief specified that the 'monster race' were tall and muscular and far from advanced in technological warfare weaponry. It also specified that their natural habitat was on land but it captured its food source from the sea, therefore I decided to give him webbed feet for speedier swimming to catch prey and a mouth which opens very widely in order to catch a large amount of fish similar to a basking shark. I then had to build a scale model and a full-sized head as if it were to be worn by an actor.
